Pros4Us ("Pros4Us," "we," "our," or "us") operates a mobile marketplace that connects homeowners and clients with construction and home-service professionals ("pros"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using the Pros4Us app, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us:
- Account details — your name, email address, phone number, and password (or a Google or Apple sign-in identifier if you register that way).
- Profile details — profile photo, home or business address, profession or trade, company name, specialties, skills, and service areas.
- Documents and photos you upload — including job photos and any business cards or documents you scan, which we process to read text (OCR) so we can pre-fill details for you.
- Content you create — job and project posts, messages you send to other users, and support requests.
Information we collect automatically:
- Location — with your permission, your device location and the addresses you enter, used to match you with nearby jobs or pros and to show distances. Address autocomplete is provided by Google (see "Third-Party Services").
- Device and push information — device type, operating system, app version, and a push-notification token so we can send you alerts.
- Diagnostic data — crash reports and error logs (via Sentry) and basic usage information, used to keep the app stable.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account and profile.
- Connect clients and pros — show job posts to relevant pros, let pros express interest, and let clients choose who to work with.
- Power projects and crews — organize jobs into projects and enable group chat among the people working on them.
- Enable messaging between users.
- Send you notifications about messages, job interest, invitations, and project updates.
- Provide support and respond to your requests.
- Keep the platform safe — detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
- Improve the app and fix problems.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How We Share Your Information
With other users — your profile, your job and service posts, and the messages you send are visible to the users you interact with (for example, a pro you contact, or the crew on a shared project).
With service providers who help us run the app:
- Google — for "Sign in with Google," and for address autocomplete and maps (Google Places and Google Maps).
- Apple — for "Sign in with Apple."
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications.
- Sentry — for crash and error reporting.
- Our hosting and cloud-storage providers — to store the app's data and the files you upload.
These providers may use your information only to perform services for us.
For legal and safety reasons — to comply with the law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Pros4Us, our users, or others.
In a business transfer — if Pros4Us is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Location Data
Location is used to match you with nearby jobs or professionals and to show distances. You can grant or deny location access when prompted, and you can change it at any time in your device settings.
Addresses you type are sent to Google to provide autocomplete suggestions. If you deny location access, you can still use the app by entering addresses manually, though some matching features may be less accurate.
6. Push Notifications
With your permission, we send push notifications about messages, job interest, invitations, and project activity. We use a device push token to deliver these through Apple and Google notification services.
You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings or within the app.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password and keep it confidential.
8. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we must keep certain records to comply with the law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
9. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and update — view and edit your profile information in the app at any time.
- Delete your account — you can delete your account from within the app; this removes your personal information as described in "Data Retention."
- Notifications — manage or turn off notifications in your device settings.
- Location — grant or revoke location access in your device settings.

10. Children's Privacy
Pros4Us is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
If you believe a child under 18 has provided us information, contact us at info@pros4us.com and we will delete it.
11. Third-Party Services
The app relies on third-party services that have their own privacy policies, including Google (sign-in, Places, and Maps), Apple (sign-in), Google Firebase (push notifications), and Sentry (diagnostics).
We encourage you to review their privacy policies to understand how they handle your information.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the app and revise the "Last updated" date, and for significant changes we will provide additional notice.
Your continued use of Pros4Us after an update means you accept the revised policy.
